Anticipated salary for the position: $110,000 - $210,000 per year; full-time Responsibilities: Work closely with General Partners in driving all aspects of investing activity, including defining segments of interest, sourcing investment opportunities, performing due diligence, and helping drive value creation initiatives after investment. Identify potential investment opportunities through networking, industry research, and attending relevant conferences or events. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including analyzing financials, market conditions, competitive landscape, and the founding team's capabilities. Craft strong investment theses for potential deals, outlining the reasons why the firm should invest in a particular company. Offer advice and support to portfolio companies in areas such as growth strategies, talent acquisition, business development, and preparing for subsequent funding rounds. Build and maintain strong relationships within the venture capital ecosystem, including with entrepreneurs, other investors, and industry experts. Collaborate with others on the Deal Team, including across verticals and teams, and outside domain experts, to get to the best possible answer on any diligence project. Continuously grow and nurture the firms network of subject matter experts and develop the ability to quickly determine the best resource(s) to contact for a given diligence area. Contribute to Deal Team operations, such as inbound deal funnel management, notes during pitch meetings, tracking of data for benchmarking, and institutionalization of knowledge and data for Deal Team-wide use. The position requires a bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative field. The position also requires three (3) years of experience in job offered or in a finance/investing-related occupation. Professional experience must include: Recognizing investment opportunities and driving value after the investment is made; End-to-end due diligence and advanced financial modeling; Multidisciplinary due diligence, fund flow and cap table management; and Investment closing best practices.
