Sincerity - take pride in your work and be mindful in how your actions impact others ABOUT THE POSITION: The Inventory Purchasing Associate (Admin) is responsible for daily oversight of consumable inventory utilized in the manufacturing process and at our retail sites. This includes assessing stock levels, creating purchase orders, intaking deliveries, count reconciliations, and managing any stock discrepancies. The Purchasing Associate should uphold a level of professionalism, a willingness to learn new processes, and be thorough in communicating the supply needs of the business.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, Inventory Purchasing Associate: Assist in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods in line with company needs and budget.
Maintain updated records, including purchase orders, invoices, and service contracts.
Collaborate with internal departments to determine supply needs and fulfill requisitions.
Track purchase orders and manage any issues related to deliveries or product quality.
Communicate to Leadership about any issues with purchase orders or projected lead times.
Oversee all forms related to: tax exemptions, credit tracking, and returns processing.
Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts).
Perform weekly audits on open POs and assist with monthly reconciliations for each facility.
Assist in managing vendor relationships to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
Liaise with Inventory staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
Collaborate closely with the Distribution sector to communicate about any incoming orders.
Ensure accurate record keeping, execution of operational tasks, and inventory control.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership team.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Minimum Qualifications (Required): Previous experience in a Purchasing Assistant, Buyer or similar role.
Solid understanding of supply chain procedures.
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Certification is preferred, not require
Knowledge on MS Excel.
Industry knowledge is preferred, but not required.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Strong communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
May be required to work in varying temperatures depending on the type of products being
handled.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred): - Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).
- Knowledge of MS Excel
- Industry knowledge preferred, but not required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Cannabis-related education.
License/Certification: Must obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card to start work.
