Inventory Control Clerk

Compensation: $21.00 / hour

Description

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for all aspects of storeroom activity for repair parts, tooling, and supplies. Works with the Receiving and Stores Supervisor to facilitate the efficient and safe operation of the storeroom and other related departments in all aspects of an ISO-9001:2015 high-volume environment to meet the goals and objectives of the department. This is a 2nd Shift position.

Key Responsibilities

How You Will Help:
  • Perform the normal storeroom activities related to the movement of parts both physically and in the computer system. These activities would include:
  • Issuing of material
  • Handling incoming receipts and stocking of the storeroom.
  • Handling returned items.
  • Performing cycle counts.
  • Setup parts for return or exchange with vendors.
  • Process the weekly re-order report by reviewing the inventory status of items flagged for re-order.
  • Process inventory adjustments when an inventory error is found.
  • Perform all needed system transactions and paperwork flow for these activities.
  • Assist with coverage of similar activities for the Purchase Parts inventory for purchased products used in the manufacturing of our end items.
  • Operate truck scale to weigh and record full and empty bulk trucks that deliver scrap metal and other raw materials.
  • Must maintain the various inventories and perform thorough cycle counts weekly and annually.
  • Responsible for keeping the material organized in the remote warehouse, including: accurate assurance of material location; tags are updated on shelves to locate material; material is put away in locations in a reasonable amount of time; and general housekeeping.
  • Process shutdown orders for Maintenance. This requires maintaining records and organizing by Supervisor and WO; maintaining accurate records of material pick up; processing and separating the incoming material according to WO and Supervisor.
  • Must learn and assist in all duties and responsibilities assigned by the Receiving/Storeroom Supervisor.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What You Will Have:
  • Education - High school diploma required.
  • Experience - preferred production store experience but not required.
  • Knowledge/Traits Required - Basic computer skills preferred. Must be able to lift 75 lbs, work primarily 2nd shift and fill in for other shifts as needed. Candidate will train on 1st shift before transitioning into the 2nd Shift position
