JOB SUMMARYThe Inventory Control Specialist is accountable for executing daily inventory / cycle counts, ensuring all items are accurately counted and performed according to documented procedures, communicating and engage effectively with Materials team members and escalate and report issues appropriately.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform regular cycle counts, track results and work to identify cause.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to problem solve and resolve inventory adjustments.
- Monitor inventory levels and share concerns of stock outs/ overages with purchasing.
- Conduct periodic audits to verify inventory accuracy and problem solve any discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data, generate reports on stock levels, turnover, and other relevant metrics.
- Collaborate to implement and maintain inventory management systems and software.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize inventory flow and minimize carrying costs.
- Assist with the implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Provide back up support to the Production Planner role.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in inventory role.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform on-site inventory tasks and lift/move material up to 25 pounds, if required
