What you will be doing

As an Inventory Clerk/Office Assistant at our beverage facility, you'll play a crucial role in managing inventory levels and supporting office operations. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of materials. Additionally, you'll assist with various office tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling appointments. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in helping us maintain efficient operations and meet production demands.

The position will be based in Richmond, CA.

Main responsibilities

Completes physical cycle counts of finished goods, packaging, and inventory in the warehouse.

Compares and reconciles physical inventory counts to those maintained in the inventory system every period. Enter all cycle counts into the inventory management system (M3).

Reconciles physical and financial inventories in M3.

Must be able to monitor inventory performance, breakage, and shelf life.

Identify, research, and explain or resolve variances. Work with appropriate department managers as needed.

Maintain all required cycle count documentation to be within SOX Compliance with appropriate approvals and processes in place.

Recap cycle count loss or gains weekly to plant management teams.

Review and monitor daily reports including Negative Inventory Reports, Production Reports, Cycle Count History, Open Sales Orders

Review, reconcile, and process customer claims. Assist with inquiries from customers, carriers, Corporate Traffic, Corporate Finance, etc.

Ensure inventory processes are completed each period within SOX Guidelines and all reporting is complete and accurate.

Process inventory adjustments ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and entry according to SOX Policy.

Compile weekly Plant Shipment Delivery Log and ensure accurate information for Period Close accruals.

Assist with general office duties including backup for office staff vacations and absences.

Assist with greeting visitors and ensure GMP policies are enforced before entering the plant.

Other duties as assigned.

What we are searching for.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

Highly Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in counting multiple layers and varying cases per layer.

Proven problem-solving abilities, math, and analytical skills. 10-key skills a plus

Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills

Must be well organized, flexible, strong attendance record, and be able to handle multiple assignments with minimal direct supervision.

Must have great customer service skills.

Have strong verbal and written skills.

Exceptional phone and email etiquette

Must have experience with cycle counting and inventory management.

Ability to stand for long periods, walk to various locations in the warehouse facility, move rapidly, bend, stoop, and twist and turn frequently. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are necessary.

Temperatures in the warehouse may vary.

Some lifting of product cases is required.

Must be able to work varied hours and weekends as necessary.
