Encorr Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners and corrugated manufacturing industry leader, is currently seeking an Inventory Clerk at our state of the art facility in Ontario, CA. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining good housekeeping, assist in parts requisition for purchaser, inventory cycle count, stocking receiving, and organizing labels. Loading and unloading packages and maintaining and contact vendors for status updates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION
  • Follow all safety and company policies and procedures including maintaining good housekeeping, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
  • Assist in parts requisition for purchaser to order-relay parts request, prepare parts order list for purchaser.
  • Inventory cycle count - assist buyer/planner with cycle count on inventory parts including month end 1404, PNP, and consumables. Maintenance manager signature is required on all month end inventories.
  • Inventory receiving, stocking, organizing, labeling-receive part, stocking parts, organizing parts and labeling parts in bin.
  • Assist in preparing kits (parts) for work orders.
  • Unloading of packages-assist in shipping parts, loading, and unloading the parts.
  • Data entry for filling and organizing work orders.
  • Assist in requesting quotes, contact vendors for quotes/pricing and lead times to present to purchaser for purchase requisitions.
  • Follow up on all work orders, contact vendors for status updates, delays and delivery.
  • Process receiver to invoice match physical invoice to packing receivers and PO to give to AP.
  • Assist the safety coordinator in all safety training classes including new hires.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly roll stock cycle counts. Identify and report discrepancies to plant production scheduler.
  • Miscellaneous errands and other duties as required with limitation to purchasing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including management, employees, and vendors.
  • Must be well organized and always keep the working area clean.
  • Attendance must always be exemplary. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours including weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • GED or high school diploma.
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
  • Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years' experience and/or training.
  • Corrugated experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
  • Ability to read and communicate in a team.
  • Strong work ethic with emphasis on safety.
  • Excellent people skills and communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must have computer skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Constant standing, talking, hearing, walking; frequent stooping and bending, twisting, turning, maintaining balance; occasional kneeling and reaching over the shoulder; also required simple grasping, pushing and pulling; must be able to lift to 50 lbs.; specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and peripheral vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
