Better Living Components is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to help track and manage our materials inventory-including lumber, hangers, and other hardware-across our yard and warehouse. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, can confidently navigate Inventory Software and Excel spreadsheets, and wants a flexible schedule of about 2-3 hours per day.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct routine physical counts of raw materials and hardware
- Record inventory receipts accurately using Excel and other tracking tools
- Monitor open purchase orders and ensure proper documentation
- Report low stock, discrepancies, or damaged items to the manager
- Walk and work across yard and warehouse areas to access materials
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures
- Support the team with other duties as needed
Requirements:
What You Bring:
- Experience with inventory control or materials tracking
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
Physical Aspects:
- Comfortable walking on uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions outdoors
Schedule: Part-time, approx. 2-3 hours/day (flexible)
Work Environment: Outdoor and warehouse-based
