Job Title: Purchasing RepresentativeJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Representative to manage day-to-day procurement activities. This role involves coordinating with vendors, placing orders, and working closely with the sales team to ensure timely delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will handle a mix of administrative tasks, including extensive email communication and scheduling.

Responsibilities
  • Spend 1-2 hours each morning managing daily deliveries and confirming vendor shipments.
  • Place inbound orders through online vendors and manage inventory control.
  • Respond to and send emails, taking up approximately 75% of the day.
  • Get confirmation dates and schedule deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate order schedules.
  • Handle urgent 'hot rush deals' to expedite project completion.
  • Plan and follow up on tasks for the next day.
Essential Skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement or inventory management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel (1+ years).
  • Excellent professional phone and email etiquette.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in flooring is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge in asset management, inventory management, supply chain, and vendor management.
  • Comfortable using email via Outlook, as 75% of the day will be administrative via email.
  • Ability to handle basic calendaring and follow-up reports.
Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, with occasional overtime. The role is based inside the office building upstairs, in the designated area for the purchasing department. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
