ABOUT THIS JOB

The Inventory & Distribution Manager will be responsible for receiving and transporting inventory to one of many activation sites across the city. They will also be responsible for the order management, verification and controls of both sellable and non-sellable materials. This role must exude excellent communication skills and be able to connect with transportation companies, field managers, and the Story House HQ team so inventory is always accounted for. A great attention to detail and ability to execute many moving parts at once is critical to success in this role. This position will follow an inventory management process to receive shipments and maintain accountability for the lifecycle of all event marketing materials. The Inventory & Distribution Manager will break down shipments as directed by Story House HQ and transport condensed quantities of inventory to and from sites and storage units.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a related field preferred (inventory management or assistant retail management)
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds and stand for several hours at a time
  • Required to work nights and weekends and must be flexible in work schedule
  • Ability to travel within the market to assigned execution sites as a routine daily requirement
  • Ability to travel outside the market on occasion for training and event executions
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with inventory management systems such as SAP
  • Problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong influencing, judgement, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask, think strategically, and take quick action for immediate results
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally
  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfortable driving a large box truck when necessary. CDL not required.
