Our biotech client is looking for an Inventory Accounting Manager. Ideal candidate will have inventory, cost accounting and management experience.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes related to revenue recognition, cost accruals, and inventory valuation for multiple U.S. locations.
- Perform detailed analysis of revenue streams, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory turnover to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare, review and/or approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage and supervise the revenue recognition, cost accounting, and inventory management functions
- Coordinate the internal and external audit processes for assigned areas within established timelines.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, streamline procedures, and enhance efficiency within the finance function.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Proficiency in accounting ERP systems with advanced Excel skills
