Job Description
An employer is looking for a ServiceNow Developer in the Bogota, Colombia area. You will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to effectively support business processes and drive efficiency. This role focuses on ensuring that the ServiceNow applications meet specific business needs. Tasks include:
Key Responsibilities
Customization and Development
o Designing, coding, and implementing new applications, modules, and functionalities within ServiceNow using JavaScript, GlideScript, AngularJS, and other relevant technologies.
o Implementing various modules in ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM).
o Tailoring the user interface and user experience to align with organizational needs and improve user adoption.
o Integrating ServiceNow with external systems and applications using APIs and web services to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
Collaboration and Communication
o Working with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
o Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, business units, and other developers, to deliver solutions.
o Conducting thorough testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure quality and functionality.
Platform Maintenance and Support
o Identifying and resolving technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks within the ServiceNow platform.
o Monitoring system performance and implementing optimizations to ensure efficient operation.
o Managing ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and hotfixes to maintain system stability and security.
Best Practices and Standards
o Adhere to and enforce ServiceNow development standards and best practices across development teams.
o Adhere to ITIL best practices for ITSM day-to-day and future onboarding.
o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other ServiceNow team members.

Skills and Requirements
2-5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration
Strong ITSM background and ServiceNow scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, GlideScript)
Understanding and use of various ServiceNow APIs (REST, SOAP) for integrating with external systems and applications.
Proficiency in designing and configuring forms, workflows, business rules, UI policies, and other automation tools within ServiceNow.
Knowledge of ServiceNow data structures, tables, and relationships, as well as experience with querying and manipulating data using GlideRecord
Well versed with Service Portal and experience with AngularJS/ HTML to deliver tailored user interfaces
Knowledge of CMDB data structures ITAM experience
ServiceNow System Administrator and/or Implementation Specialist certifications (preferred)
ServiceNow Micro-Certifications for Agile, AI, Service Portal, etc (preferred) null
