Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist:

As a valued member of our team, your duties will include:
Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainages, stent placements, and venous access procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Operate imaging equipment and assist physicians in obtaining diagnostic images.
Administer contrast agents and other medications as required, following established protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely information for patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate medical records, documenting procedures, patient information, and other necessary data.
Adhere to hospital policies and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with research projects related to interventional radiology.
Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and best practices in interventional radiology.

Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technologist:

To qualify, candidates must have:
BLS Certification
VIR Certified
NY License
2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
