Job Title: International Tax Supervisor
Location: Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)
Job Description:
Our global Fortune 500 client is seeking a highly skilled International Tax Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing international tax matters, with a focus on local country and non-US tax controversy.
Summary:
The International Tax Supervisor will support the International Tax function, including accounting for income taxes, compliance, non-US controversy, transfer pricing, and other special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare non-US quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions using OneSource Tax Provision software.
- Develop and maintain tax basis balance sheets and reconcile all income tax accounts for foreign operations.
- Manage the foreign tax compliance calendar and support U.S. international tax compliance as needed.
- Assist with SOX documentation and prepare foreign return to provision adjustments.
- Have a basic understanding of transfer pricing methodologies and documentation requirements.
- Assist with transfer pricing compliance, documentation gathering, and preparation of Form 8975 Country-by-Country Report.
- Participate in analyzing U.S. international and foreign tax issues and monitor proposed and enacted U.S. international and foreign tax law reforms.
- Assist in the preparation of technical and non-technical tax research, compliance memos, and summaries.
- Implement and document initiatives to reduce direct and indirect taxes by working closely with local teams and tax advisors.
- Handle additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Accountancy (preferred) and CPA required (or candidate for CPA).
- International Tax experience; local country
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience with accounting for income taxes under ASC 740, with public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with OneSource software preferred.
- Experience with automated fixed asset depreciation systems and SAP preferred.
