The primary responsibility of the International Regional Sales Representative is business development for the Hunting Trenchless product lines in an assigned territory. Territory to include all international business with exception of Canada. Business development consists of both the development of a distribution network for the territory and direct sales to key customers.
Primary position responsibilities:
Achieves the targeted sales and gross margin goals for the Hunting Trenchless products for the region.
Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the market potential for the Hunting Trenchless products in the region.
Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the competitor's products and sales & marketing techniques in the region.
Regularly reports on the performance of the region to management.
Distribution Development:
Establishes and manages the distribution network for Hunting Trenchless products in the region. This includes identification, qualification, training and monitoring of the performance of distributors.
Measures the performance of established distributors against objectives and takes action to correct any performance shortfalls. This may include cancellation of existing distribution agreements and establishment of new relationships to meet the territory sales goals.
Provides technical assistance and sales training related to the Hunting Trenchless product line to the distributor's sales team. This includes visiting customers with the distributor sales team to help close orders and identify customer needs.
Communicates the market conditions to the distributors and assists the distributor in developing sales programs based on these market conditions.
Assists distributors in resolving customer issues with Hunting Trenchless products.
Assists distributors in developing and establishing inventory needs for Hunting Trenchless products to support the needs of their territory.
Direct sales:
Develops and maintains relationships with current and potential key customers in the region.
Performs direct sales functions in the portions of the territory not covered by distributors.
Maintains a sales database for all sales activities that take place within the region.
Skills required for this position:
Complete knowledge of selling techniques and the ability to close sales
Excellent oral communication skills and telephone techniques
Strong presentation skills in small and large group settings
Ability to analyze potential customer business and to develop action plans to capture that business
Accuracy in technical and financial transactions
Ability to manage multiple activities at the same time
Other position requirements:
Extensive travel within the territory is required (50%) to maintain close relationships with the distributors and key customers.
A valid Driver's License and Passport is required for this position.
Excellent computer skills are necessary including, but not limited to, the use of email, word processors, databases and moderate to high level spreadsheet skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively with company owners, senior executives and job site personnel.
The maintenance of a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public is required in this position.
Previous experience managing other people including hiring, training and evaluating their performance
Ability to speak other languages would be beneficial
Minimum education and experience requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing and/or 3 years of related job experience

Base salary, plus commission on products sold into their territory, along with.
