An international chemical distribution company is seeking a Logistics Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics operations and customer service, along with a positive, team-oriented attitude. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage freight forwarding operations, including shipping, receiving, and import/export.
- Process shipments per DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling requirements.
- File documents accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
- Utilize logistics software for shipment processing.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation for customs clearance.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely deliveries.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of freight forwarding experience.
- 1-3 years of shipping, receiving, and import/export operations experience.
- Familiarity with IMO, AES, and ISF documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office or Google Suite.
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- University/college degree is a plus.
- Prior experience in global shipping management/customs clearance preferred
