Pete's RV is looking for a candidate to fill the role of Internal Service Advisor at our Chesapeake dealership. Our ideal candidate will work well in a team environment, have great communication skills and have a working knowledge of technician work orders.
Responsibilities - Act as an Interdepartmental support advisor, supporting the sales and service teams and technicians
- Create and manage service work orders, accurately detailing customer issues and service requests
- Estimate costs and time for repairs and communicate these to customers clearly and effectively
- Collaborate with service technicians to understand repair needs and ensure parts availability
- Schedule time needed for repairs and estimating costs associated with the repairs
- Code all jobs appropriately
- Accurately record issues and data into the Dealer Management System
- Follow-through to ensure that all work has been completed
- Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the service order
- Draft outgoing correspondence (letters, e-mails, memos) and reports
- Provide clerical support, such as data entry, and record keeping
- Assist the managers with various clerical duties, including cycle counts and yearly inventory
- Assist customer with parts and accessory recommendations and over the counter purchases
- Assist with parts orders
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in the service department.
- Attend all team meetings and training sessions to stay current with product knowledge and service standards.
- Perform other duties needed to assist the team
Requirements - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Knowledge of RV parts and service processes is preferred
- Proficient in computer software and dealership management systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Organized with excellent time management skills
- Fantastic communication skills
- Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
- Clean driving record
- Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to multi-task and follow tasks as assigned
- Maintain an Excellent CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) - a MUST
