YOUR TASKS This role focuses on maintaining employee skill matrices, overseeing mold operations, and ensuring workforce development in a production environment. Responsibilities include setting up and operating curing presses, performing mold and bladder maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting quality checks while adhering to safety and environmental standards. The position also involves responding to equipment issues and using hand tools and measuring devices.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT - Maintain employee skill and qualification matrices, and track department headcount
- Set up, operate, and monitor curing presses while ensuring safety and quality compliance
- Perform mold and bladder maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, assembly, disassembly, and part changes
- Read and interpret specifications, engineered drawings, and tolerances; use hand tools and measuring devices
- Troubleshoot mold performance issues and conduct tooling maintenance and repairs
- Respond to equipment downtime and notify supervision of any extraordinary conditions
- Conduct first and last tire quality checks using control panel interfaces
- Identify and report safety, environmental, or quality concerns, ensuring timely corrective actions
- Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed. THE ENVIRONMENT - Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear uch as hearing protection, safety shoes, safety glasses (as needed)
- 12-hour 2-2-3 pattern (panama) shift 6:45-7:00 (can be either days or nights) including every other weekend Include shift information
- The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise
- The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided
- This role starts at $22.77 an hour. If internal candidates are offered, pay may change depending on current hourly rate
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE - High school diploma or GED
- One or more years' experience in manufacturing environment or other relevant experience
- Must be willing to work selected shift for this position
