One of Pheonix's largest multi-specialty group practices with over 20 offices located throughout metropolitan Phoenix seeks a leader. Many are equipped with several medical specialists under one roof, so referrals or additional diagnostic needs can be quickly obtained. The physician will provide primary care for the Group's patients deemed to fall within the scope of practice of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Diagnoses and treats patients for disorders on a general level, without restriction to special systems or regions of the body; serves as the general practitioner to patients for general diagnostic and therapeutic medical care.A Clinician Supervisor Physician Director will serve as the key medical administrator overseeing the clinical activities of Primary Care clinicians within the healthcare centers under their responsibility. This leader will oversee quality and utilization metrics for providers and center and act as a change agent for practicing clinicians within the healthcare centers around the areas of quality, service, people, finance and growth.In collaboration with operations partners, he/she leads the healthcare centers' teams of clinicians in the delivery of quality medical care, affordability and ensures positive customer experiences as a result of excellence in all daily operations. This leader will report to the Medical Director, and will work closely with matrix partners to advance the patient care delivery model at the healthcare center. LOCATION/HOURS OF OPERATION:- Location: Phoenix, Arizona Area-Hours of Operations: 8a-5p- Patient care days and admin time for administrative duties (variable depending on center) RESPONSIBILITIES:Clinical: Provides primary care for Evernorth Care Group patients deemed to fall within the scope of his/her specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics).Diagnoses and treats patients for disorders on a general level without restriction to special systems or regions of the body: serves as the general practitioner to patients for general diagnostic and therapeutic medical care.Coordinates care of patients using team model as established by the Group: utilizes appropriate resources, programs and team members as Evernorth Care Group care delivery model evolves Leadership Skills:- Leads primary care clinician engagement within the healthcare center and accountable region Change agent for clinicians in clinical practice to achieve triple aim of better clinical outcomes, better patient experience and enhanced affordability. Responsible for involving clinical teams to improve the individual experience of care for patients within the healthcare center and accountable region.Ensures consistency of the practices and is accountable for quality of care/patient experience within his/her healthcare center and aligned region to align to the Evernorth Care Group care delivery model as it evolves and changesDrives standardization and reduction of variability in workflow and across common clinical conditions. Supports efficiency and effectiveness efforts within the healthcare center and accountable regionDirect manager for aligned primary care clinicians for region REQUIRED SKILLS:- MD or DO Degree required.- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - Active and unrestricted AZ medical license required.- Good computer skills using MS Office Products (Word/Excel) and Electronic Health Records systems (Epic).- Demonstrates flexibility and displays excellent communication skills with staff and during patient interactions.
