Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - General Medicine in Oregon
Join a dedicated team in Oregon providing essential services to our nation's Veterans. This role involves conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments at various locations, including Bend and other cities. Ideal candidates will have a background in general medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct C&P exams and separation health assessments for Veterans.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Document findings and submit standardized forms within 48 hours of exam completion.
- Complete record reviews and follow up on administrative tasks such as addendums and medical opinions.
- Participate in ongoing training and obtain necessary DMA certifications.
- Utilize your own office for scheduling Veterans if preferred.
- Travel to VES leased facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must possess a board certification and a full, active, and unrestricted license.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Own a personal laptop (Windows only; no Mac products).
- Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
License & Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Oregon.
- Board Certification in a relevant specialty.
- Copy of ECFMG certificate (if applicable).
