Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine
Join a reputable healthcare provider seeking General Medicine physicians to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the United States, particularly in Houston, Louisiana. This position offers flexible scheduling options in an environment dedicated to serving our nation's veterans. The practice focuses on conducting non-treatment evaluations, ensuring a meaningful contribution to the veteran community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Compensation & Pension exams primarily through interviews with some physical assessments.
- Perform separation health assessments, primarily interview-based.
- Document findings and submit reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Complete administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions, as required.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in General Medicine or relevant specialty.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Louisiana.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Ownership of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve certification.
- Experience in compensation and pension evaluations is a plus.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted medical license in Louisiana (LA).
- AANP certification required.
- Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
