Work Schedule : 08:00am- 04:30pm (M-F)

Job description:
Searching for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is experienced in primary care or hospital medicine to provide on-site services on a full-time basis to a male incarcerated population with some specialty populations (e.g., dementia, developmentally disabled). Selected physician will see approximately 2.5 patients/hour.

Duties:

• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system.

• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports.

• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing.

• Managing medication.

• Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated.

• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment.

• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, Client policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards.

• Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews.

Requirements:

• Medical License by the State of Ohio

• CPR/BLS certification

• DEA certification

• Covid card

• Board certification
