Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team providing essential services to our nation's Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas. This dynamic practice offers flexibility with the option to work in your own office, conducting crucial assessments on a PRN basis, allowing you to make a significant impact while experiencing the rich culture of Houston.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
  • Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to exams and submissions as part of the daily responsibilities.
  • Work flexible shifts, choosing between days (4 hours) and full days (8 hours).
  • Maintain professionalism while engaging with Veterans during assessments.
Qualifications:
  • Active and unrestricted full medical license in Texas.
  • Board certified in relevant specialties such as family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine.
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
  • Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) for documentation purposes.
  • Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Texas medical license.
  • AANP certification required.
  • Current home address must be listed for presentation qualifications.
