Join Our Team as a General Medicine Physician in Houston, OH.
Our facility is dedicated to serving the brave men and women who have served our country. We are currently seeking General Medicine professionals to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with Veterans and make a significant impact in their lives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments primarily through interviews, with some physical assessments.
- Utilize tools such as a Goniometer to assess range of motion and muscle strength.
- Complete evaluations and submit standardized forms in a timely manner via the provider portal.
- Conduct thorough record reviews and perform follow-up administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions.
- Provide training with Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and complete evaluations based on provided guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with administrative tasks and documentation within specified deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Board Certification is required.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Ohio.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve certification.
- Current CV must include a home address for presentation purposes.
- If applicable, a copy of ECFMG certificate is required for international medical graduates.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Full, unrestricted medical license in Ohio.
- Board Certified is preferred but Board Eligible will be considered.
- Must successfully complete DMA training and obtain certification.
