Adelphi is seeking seeking a licensed Medical Doctor (MD or DO) with residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to provide outpatient clinical services at a facility in Cameron County, Texas. The ideal candidate will deliver primary care services to patients, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based medical care.

Requirements:-
• Active and unrestricted Texas medical license (no board sanctions).
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• DEA Registration (current and active).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• ECFMG Certification (if applicable).
• Compliance with immunization requirements.
• Completion of required drug testing and fingerprinting.
• Successful completion of all mandatory facility and agency trainings.
• Preference for Spanish-English bilingual candidates experienced in outpatient chronic care.
Responsibilities:-
Clinical Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct onsite patient medical services five days per week (10 half-day clinic sessions).
• Manage 8 12 patients per half-day session, including new patients, follow-ups, and walk-ins.
• Perform accurate medical histories, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, & develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based care for patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests as clinically indicated.
• Document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) system in a timely and thorough manner.
• Manage e-prescriptions and maintain updated patient medication profiles.
• Adhere to standards and regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Joint Commission.
• Provide minor first aid care to staff if needed.
• Participate in disaster response and Continuity of Operations activities as necessary, including flexible shift assignments.
Administrative Responsibilities:
• Complete service logs & invoices , including provider name, address, contact information,& payment address if applicable.
• Include contract number, invoice date, and invoice number on all submitted invoices.
• Provide a detailed description of services rendered with applicable CPT codes.
• Record service dates clearly, with provider initials and staff verification initials for each date of service.
• Submit itemized charges per service date along with total invoice amounts, verified by the department manager s signature.
• Provide any additional documentation or payment-related information required by the contracting entity.
