Core Faculty, Director of POCUS Education
Denver, Colorado
The Saint Joseph Internal Medicine Residency Program is recruiting a core faculty member to serve as their Director of POCUS Education. Faculty will be employed by Intermountain
Saint Joseph Hospital:
A pillar in the Denver community for over 150 years
Recently recognized as the hospital in Colorado
Tertiary academic-community hospital with over 100 residents
Quaternary ICU with our partner National Jewish Health
Serves a high proportion of medically underserved patients
Faculty Duties:
At least 50% dedicated time will be provided to teaching, developing, and providing quality oversight over all POCUS education
Rounding on the faculty hospitalist service supervising residents and medical students
Participate in IM residency program committees (eg, program evaluation & clinical competency committees)
Assist with the residency applicant recruitment process
Participate in scholarly activity and quality improvement projects
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of Two (2) years of POCUS experience; Five (5) years preferred
Minimum of Two (2) years of teaching experience in graduate medical education; Five (5) years preferred
MD or DO Degree and Active Board Certification
Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency
Must have or be eligible for Colorado State medical licensure
Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Saint Joseph Hospital

Fluency in Spanish is a plus

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$7.25 - $999.99
