Locum Physician - General Medicine (Minnesota)
Join a dedicated facility that serves our nation's Veterans as a General Medicine Provider. You will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, contributing to the well-being of those who have served.
This role is available in various locations across Minnesota, including Bemidji, with the flexibility to work in your own practice or travel to a leased facility. We are looking for compassionate providers who are committed to making a difference.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete all reports and evaluations within specified timeframes using the VES provider portal.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Maintain thorough documentation and follow up on administrative tasks related to exams.
- Train in Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and complete required DMA certification.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Minnesota.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Medicine, or related specialties.
- Ability to evaluate and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes, and METs testing.
- Capability to own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
License and Certification Requirements
- Valid medical license number and certification number.
- Current CV with home address included for presentation.
- ECFMG certificate if applicable for international medical graduates.
