People First in Tuscaloosa Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of 6 physicians and 2 APPs at DCH Regional Medical Center
- Work alongside a dedicated team that is actively involved in work groups such as practice guidelines, the code blue committee, and the ICU celebration of life committee.
Qualifications:
- Certified Physician's Assistant
- Prior ICU APP practice experience is required, with a preference for procedural skills. Not considering new graduates at this time.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Practice in the Heart of the Community Scheduling:
- Full-Time night position. APP's work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM-7 AM with support of the night Intensivist (1 MD & 1 APP 7 PM-7 AM).
- PRN-per diem option available
Key Responsibilities:
- DCH is a 583-bed tertiary care center. We have excellent rapport with subspecialists as well as the ICU nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and palliative care teams. We have dedicated critical care pharmacists in both ICUs.
- Conduct evening rounds, handle new admissions, and perform ICU procedures.
