We are seeking a skilled Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for a 10-day locum tenens position at a healthcare facility in California. Starting 05/14/2025, this role involves providing care from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a range of basic internal medicine and primary care cases, with a particular focus on women's health issues. Responsibilities and Duties:


• Provide comprehensive internal medicine and primary care services


• Perform women's health examinations including pelvic exams, pap smears, and breast exams


• Diagnose and treat common women's health issues such as vaginitis, UTIs, and vaginal discharge


• Utilize proper instruments for examinations and procedures


• Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups


• Review and analyze patient medical histories


• Use AdvancedMD electronic health records system for documentation


• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed


• Educate patients on preventive care and health maintenance


• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures


Required Qualifications:


• Current Physician Assistant license with Internal Medicine specialization


• Active California state license


• Experience in women's health and primary care settings


• Proficiency in performing pelvic exams, pap smears, and related procedures


• Familiarity with AdvancedMD electronic health records system
