Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

This opportunity is with a well-established practice that focuses on Compensation & Pension exams along with Separation Health Assessments. With multiple locations available, you have the flexibility to choose where you want to make an impact while supporting Veterans' health needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans.
- Conduct interview-based exams with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Provide assessments without prescribing or treating patients.
- Complete Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours post-exam.
- Manage record reviews and follow-up administrative work regularly.
- Utilize a personal laptop (non-Mac) for documentation and case management.
- Participate in ongoing training for DMA certification and provider orientation.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia.
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery preferred.
- Willingness to complete necessary DMA training for certification.
- Ability to work independently and in a professional environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current AANP certification.
- Must have a valid Virginia nursing license.
- DMA training and certification are required (training offered post-credentialing).
