Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team of General Medicine Providers performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, New Mexico. Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluation, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required administrative tasks such as addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics within the daily rate.
- Ability to work on a PRN basis, with options for days (4-hour) or full days (8-hour).
- Collaborate with various specialties including family medicine, internal medicine, and orthopedic surgery.
Qualifications:
- Current AANP certification.
- Must possess an active and unrestricted full license in New Mexico.
- Proficient in METs testing as well as evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Own a laptop (Mac/Apple products not permitted).
- Experience working in general medicine or compensation and pension field is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico.
- AANP certification is mandatory.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
