Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team at a facility focused on providing essential healthcare services to our nation's Veterans. We are looking for General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, Maine. This role offers flexibility with PRN opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Veterans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based examinations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Collaborate effectively, ensuring all administrative requirements are met, including submitting reports and addendums.
- Engage with patients warmly, providing them a comfortable environment during assessments.
- Coordinate with the facility's team for seamless patient care.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or a general medicine background.
- Possession of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current AANP certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must hold an active Nurse Practitioner license in Maine.
- AANP certification is required.
- Willingness to undergo DMA training to become DMA certified.
