Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated practice providing essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments to our nation's veterans. This opportunity allows you to work in your own office while making a real difference in the lives of those who served. This position is ideal for General Medicine providers looking for flexible, PRN work in the vibrant city of Houston, Kentucky.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments (e.g., range of motion and muscle strength testing).
- Complete necessary administrative follow-up, including addendums and medical opinions.
- Option to work half-days (4 hours) or full-days (8 hours).
- Actively participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Ability to diagnose and evaluate respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Own a laptop (Windows OS no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky.
- Current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
