Job Title: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team committed to serving our nation's Veterans. This position involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Our practice is focused on general medicine and is currently seeking skilled Nurse Practitioners to provide quality care across the beautiful city of Houston, Arkansas. This is a PRN position with flexible scheduling options available.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams along with separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based examinations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required documentation, including medical opinions and any necessary addendums.
- Provide assessments without prescribing or treatment.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Maintain a private office space for conducting examinations.
- Exhibit proficiency in METs testing, respiratory and cardiovascular evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery.
- Background in general medicine or experience with Compensation and Pension exams is preferred.
- Must have a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Arkansas.
- AANP certification.
