We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician for locum tenens coverage to support underserved, homeless, and immigrant populations in Atlanta, GA. This is a public service-focused, outpatient opportunity ideal for physicians passionate about health equity and community medicine.

You ll be treating a predominantly adult patient population ( patients/day), with occasional pediatric care. No call, no hospital backup, and no supervision responsibilities. Experience or willingness to train in HIV care and Integrated Behavioral Health is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct outpatient care to adults and children.

  • Perform routine primary care services, including pelvic exams, pap smears, and employment physicals.

  • Participate in quality assurance, EMR documentation (EPIC), and clinical protocol adherence.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PCER standards.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team (6 mid-level providers).

  • Participate in the mission to serve Atlanta s medically underserved and homeless populations.

    Qualifications:
    • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (IM preferred)

    • Active GA Medical License and DEA Required

    • BLS Certification Required

    • Minimum 5 years post-training experience Required

    • Graduation from an accredited medical school with FM or IM specialty

    • Bilingual in Spanish Highly Preferred

    • Experience with medically underserved, immigrant, and homeless populations Highly Preferred

    • Prior supervision or administrative experience Highly Preferred

    Working Hours:
    • Shift: Daytime (as early as 7 AM to 7 PM), flexible based on clinic need

    • Estimated Shifts: 20

    • Estimated Hours: 160
