We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician for locum tenens coverage to support underserved, homeless, and immigrant populations in Atlanta, GA. This is a public service-focused, outpatient opportunity ideal for physicians passionate about health equity and community medicine.
You ll be treating a predominantly adult patient population ( patients/day), with occasional pediatric care. No call, no hospital backup, and no supervision responsibilities. Experience or willingness to train in HIV care and Integrated Behavioral Health is preferred.
Job Responsibilities: Provide direct outpatient care to adults and children.
Perform routine primary care services, including pelvic exams, pap smears, and employment physicals.
Participate in quality assurance, EMR documentation (EPIC), and clinical protocol adherence.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PCER standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team (6 mid-level providers).
Participate in the mission to serve Atlanta s medically underserved and homeless populations.
Qualifications: Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (IM preferred)
Active GA Medical License and DEA Required
BLS Certification Required
Minimum 5 years post-training experience Required
Graduation from an accredited medical school with FM or IM specialty
Bilingual in Spanish Highly Preferred
Experience with medically underserved, immigrant, and homeless populations Highly Preferred
Prior supervision or administrative experience Highly Preferred
