Addison Group is representing a Seattle public company with the recruitment of an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join its team and lead the internal audit function.
Position Summary:
The Internal Audit Manager will ensure the effectiveness of the company's internal controls, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the overall integrity of financial reporting. This role requires a proactive leader capable of driving audit initiatives, leading a team, developing internal audit plans, and collaborating with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the internal audit team, providing guidance.
- Oversight and management of internal audit team.
- Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Subject matter expert in audit risk assessment.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and business audits in accordance with established standards and timelines.
- Review audit findings and prepare reports for management.
- Collaborate with management to implement audit recommendations and track progress on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay current on emerging trends and regulatory changes affecting internal audit practices and the industry.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the internal audit team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CIA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a national public accounting firm and/or corporate internal audit
- Strong GAAP and SOX
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing audit teams.
- Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Our client offers:
$135,000 to $155,000 base salary based on experience level
