JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision and training of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Intern - Trainer will implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans and behavior intervention plans for children with Autism in a clinic or home setting. The Intern - Trainer will implement programs and collect data daily on individualized functional goals for each client with efficacy. The Intern position will focus on restricted hours to develop foundational skills.

Strong communication and mentoring skills
High level of initiative and teamwork
Physical ability to interact actively with children (lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, run, etc.)
Reliable transportation for clinic and potential in-home sessions

What You'll Do

Deliver 1:1 direct ABA therapy to children with ASD using evidence-based practices
Support and mentor new hires during their first 90 days, including classroom training and shadow sessions
Coordinate training schedules, materials, and technology with site leadership
Conduct new hire evaluations and help with BACB documentation
Implement behavior plans and track progress using Central Reach
Provide coaching, support, and crisis management as needed
Maintain professionalism, ethical standards, and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications Required:

Enrolled in or completed a Master's program in ABA
RBT certification
At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician

Qualifications Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, ABA, or a related field
Experience working with children ages 0-16 in therapy or educational settings

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites within the Greater Houston Area.
Must have a valid Driver's License & insurance in good standing.
Must be available during the hours of 8:00-5:00 PM.
Must be willing to conduct sessions in-home and/or in-clinic.
