Systems Administrator, Intern (6-8 month internship)

The Systems Administrator, Intern, is responsible for all aspects related to the completion of tickets, resolution met CSAT (customer satisfaction), and ticket utilization pertaining to the maintenance of Systems, Storage, Identity Management, Office 365 Applications, and Security

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with Systems Engineers to resolve tickets relating to Systems, Storage, Identity Management, Office 365 Applications, and Security
  • Triage, assign, and work tickets to support the client.
  • Update existing Documentation relating to Systems, Storage, Identity Management, Office 365 Applications, and Security
  • Develop new documentation for new application rollout and implementation
  • Conduct application testing as required
  • Troubleshoot and manage tier 1 and 2 client incidents/requests in a service desk environment
  • Respond to Security Alerts from Security vendors and Microsoft
  • Generate project status reports
  • Perform light project management duties

Education
  • College courses in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university, preferred
  • In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 - meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa
  • Microsoft role-based certification, A+, Security+, Network+ courses, or related classes
Experience
  • Customarily has exposure to business processes and experience in mapping these processes using Microsoft Visio or equivalent
  • Customarily has at least two years of customer-facing project management and/or client engagement experience
  • Customarily has at least one year of technical experience
  • Customarily has 1-2 years of SQL experience
  • Microsoft SQL experience is preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting issues with Windows & Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Remote access, Terminal services, Server, Cloud platforms, and/or Network experience preferred
