Job Description

As a Software Developer Intern at Rockwell Automation, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals in an agile environment. Your contributions will directly impact our cutting-edge software products, which play a pivotal role in revolutionizing industrial automation. Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize existing software products.
  • Participate in coding, testing, and debugging activities.
  • Contribute to small design projects within various domains, such as Application Development, Security, DevSecOps, Networks and Infrastructure, Software Testing, Cloud Engineering, Power Electronics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), and Data Science/Data Analytics.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation within Rockwell Automation's software ecosystem.
  • Engage in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance code quality.
  • Work on real-world projects that contribute to the growth and development of the company.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Education: You must be currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Legal Authorization: Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this internship. This includes OPT/CPT/STEM Visas.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale is necessary to be considered for this position.
  • Working on a software development side-project that exemplifies a passion for continuous innovation and improvement.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Angular/Node, C , C , Java, JavaScript (Typescript), Kotlin, Go, or Python.
