Position: Software Engineering Intern

Collaborates with engineering staff to plan, design, develop, troubleshoot, test, debug, and modify software systems or applications for software enhancements in new or existing products. Products may be used in local, networked, cloud-based or internet related tools. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications.

You will have an opportunity to make a real impact by devising and implementing software aimed at reducing cost and increasing customer satisfaction through proactive identification of undeliverable alerts. You will work alongside seasoned software engineers in an Agile environment, creating software to be deployed on managed cloud computing platforms.

What You Will Do
  • Work on software that will broaden the reach of a new feature in beta. Including enhancements like:
    • Automatic reconciliation of AI predictions with actions taken by the system.
    • Creation and enhancement of synthetic IoT sensors to enable demonstration and testing of specific scenarios.
    • Automate cost tracking of the feature and work with other engineers on infrastructure cost analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver software that is effective and maintainable.
  • Automate the testing and deployment of software.
Who You Are and What You Bring
  • An understanding of and/or willingness to learn software development in an Agile environment
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in C or Python or similar language
Desired But Not Required
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Experience with web-based APIs
  • Experience working with large volumes of data
  • Experience with K8s platforms, such as EKS/GKE
