Position

The information security internship is designed to provide exposure to a variety of security efforts at Digi a security analyst would perform under supervision of Digi IT leadership. This opportunity includes leveraging security standards to define hardening procedures for systems, creating procedural documentation for security tools and vulnerability remediation activities, improving the customer security questionnaire response process, enhancing periodic security review processes and security risk reporting/tracking. In addition, the intern will be required to complete routine updates for leadership and a capstone presentation on their work performed and conclusions made to be presented to Digi IT leadership and for their use within any college program requiring them to highlight their experience.

What You Will Do
  • Document procedures for features of all security tools including response / remediation workflow.
  • Develop security questionnaire response database and an artificial intelligence curated response solution for business unit self-service.
  • Document quarterly security review process for critical systems.
  • Create reporting for vulnerability management process from security tools and patching efforts across Corporate and business unit systems.
  • Work with business units to develop system hardening procedures.
Who You Are and What You Bring
  • College student actively enrolled and working towards a degree in information systems or cybersecurity.
  • Proficiency in researching security best practices and creativity in applying them to company processes.
  • Ability to work under direct supervision and independently to meet timelines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence and ability to learn selected tools to support business goal.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft solutions including Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Desired But Not Required
  • Information Security work experience.
  • Information Security certification or studying in preparation of taking a certification exam.
