WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE We seek an enthusiastic and motivated IT Service Desk Intern to join our IT support team. The Intern will work under experienced IT professionals' guidance to resolve technical issues, support end-users, and enhance the overall IT Service Desk operations. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support while contributing to the smooth running of our company's IT infrastructure.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired Skills and Abilities: - Provide Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone, email, in-person, or chat to assist end-users with hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Log and Track Issues: Record all incoming support requests in the IT service management system, categorizing and prioritizing based on urgency and impact.
- Assist with Setup and Configuration: Help set up new computers, peripherals, and software installations.
- Assist in Software and Hardware Inventory Management: Track and manage IT assets, ensuring that inventory records are accurate and up to date.
- Create & Update Documentation: Maintain and update knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and IT-related documentation for internal use.
- Learning & Development: Gain hands-on experience in IT systems, network management, and service desk tools, while developing technical and customer service skills.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure timely issue resolution and continuous service improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:- You are available to work Summer Semester 2025
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, or similar program
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative team-player with a "roll-up your sleeves" approach
- Basic understanding of IT concepts, hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and other commonly used software tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Windows, Mac OS, Android & iOS environments.
- Basic understanding of network configurations and protocols.
- Basic understanding of software installation and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of the OSI Model.
- Basic understanding of Cyber & Information Security.
- Experience with remote desktop support or troubleshooting
Physical Demands: - Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 30 lbs.
- Operate office equipment requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in an upright position walking on both even and uneven surfaces
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, using 3-point contact on a regular basis
- Ability to stoop, crouch, and kneel on a regular basis
HOURS & WORKDAYS: 1st Shift - 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM; Overtime and Weekends, may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
