Job Summary: The Des Moines Buccaneers are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Design Intern to support the team's graphic design needs. This position will play a crucial role in creating visually compelling designs for sponsorships, dasher boards, social media, and other marketing materials that align with the Buccaneers' brand identity.
This is a part-time internship (20-30 hours per week) with flexible hours to accommodate school schedules. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional sports environment while working alongside a passionate and collaborative team.
How You'll Contribute: - Create and design graphics for a variety of platforms, including dasher boards, sponsorship activations, social media, and in-arena materials.
- Ensure all designs meet brand guidelines and project requirements.
- Collaborate with the Director, Fan Engagement, and other departments to support marketing and sponsorship initiatives.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Maintain and organize design files and assets for easy access and use.
- Assist in brainstorming and developing creative concepts to engage fans and elevate the Buccaneers' brand.
- Other design-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required; knowledge of After Effects or Premiere Pro is a plus).
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (recent graduates are also encouraged to apply).
- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and composition.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present ideas and incorporate feedback.
- Passion for sports and fan engagement is a plus.
