Overview

The National Security Sector at Leidos is excited to announce an opportunity for an Intermediate Level AFATDS System Analyst to contribute to our Lawton, Oklahoma office. In this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in supporting the Fires Division's Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) and Post-Production Software Support (PPSS) Maintenance and Sustainment mission, working in collaboration with the CECOM Software Engineering Center Mission Command Division based in Aberdeen, MD.

As a successful candidate, you will provide technical expertise and support in Mission Command, Fires, and C2 Maneuver systems. You will engage with the Family of U.S. Army's FIRES Systems, including AFATDS, AN/TQP-53, and LCMR Q49A.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of engineering application software.
  • Collaborate with software developers to gather analytic or interface requirements.
  • Support the testing of tools and interfaces as needed.
  • Contribute to the design and testing of operating systems-level software and network distribution applications.
  • Help establish operational specifications and analyze software requirements.
  • Participate in the design of embedded systems software.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions accordingly.
  • Troubleshoot issues for fielded units and provide valuable feedback on reported problems.
  • Operate AFATDS and its external interfaces to assist in testing of software solutions.
  • Create and execute operational test cases to validate software solutions.
  • Maintain and revise software specifications, release notes, formal test documentation, and training materials.
  • Act as a subject matter expert at remote locations during formal test events while maintaining lab test environments with current fielded versions of AFATDS and external interfaces.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or an Engineering/Technical discipline. Alternatively, possess 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active and current DoD Secret clearance.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience with AFATDS.
  • Proficiency in AFATDS operations, including familiarity with associated doctrinal concepts, techniques, tactics, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile Development, preferably 2 years.
  • Willingness to travel TDY to support development and testing activities.
The role is open as of April 8, 2025, and is expected to remain open for at least 3 days, with an anticipated close date no earlier than 3 days post the original posting date.

Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
