GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Uses knowledge of accounting methods and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for the recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, account analysis, and completion of other processes to ensure the Company's production of accurate and timely financial and regulatory reports and statements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Record journal entries to varying accounts for corrections, accruals, intercompany entries, taxes, payables, receivables, etc. 2. Reconciliation of complex income, expense, payable, receivable, bank and other accounts. 3. Use GAAP and solid decision making abilities to resolve issues and communicate those results both in writing and verbally within the organization. 4. Prepare accounting reports such as consolidated income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, schedules, projections, reconciliations, etc. 5. Analyze costs, trends, revenues, financial commitments, obligations incurred, etc. 6. Review financial reports for accuracy, identify and resolve discrepancies. 7. Use follow through skills to ensure all reconciliations, issues, reporting, etc are carried through completion. 8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting. Equivalent to a four year college degree with a major in Accounting, plus 4 years related experience and/or training.
