Monday Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm, or as needed


GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

An Interior Designer with AOA will generate concepts for interior projects, including material, such as furniture and equipment planning, special design concepts, and requirements. Plans and designs the interior aspects of large or multiple projects by developing appropriate concepts and approaches. Provides subject matter expertise on speci?c components of interior design. Liaises with the project manager, architects, and consultants. Develops and represents the lead technical viewpoint on projects. Coordinates with the director and department head on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of presentations and artwork outlining creative goals, with the intent to gain internal and external approvals.
  • Undertake interior design from concept to completion
  • Perform space planning
  • Create Presentations including but not limited to mood/inspiration boards, Material/Finish sample boards, etc
  • Present design solutions to client and the internal team
  • Adherence to deadlines without sacrificing content quality and accuracy
  • Provide creative solutions with Budget constraints
  • Collaborate with the AOA Design team
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-10 years professional experience minimum
  • Completed project types: Themed Entertainment, Public Assembly, or Hospitality
  • NCIDQ Preferred
  • Knowledge of Building and Accessibility codes related to interiors
  • Software experience in Revit, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Rendering ability using Enscape or similar software is preferred
  • Design experience from Concept to Construction documents
  • Presentation experience
  • Excellence with Time and Task Management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's or Graduate degree program in Interior Design
