We are looking for:
We're seeking an Interior Designer to manage projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be competent in full hospitality projects throughout all design phases, from concept to completion, while adhering to brand guidelines. They will be responsible for in-house design production and managing external design consultants, reporting to the design director. What you can do for us
- Manage projects from inception to completion
- Manage external designers, consultants, and contractors
- Create and prepare mood boards, sketch layouts, and design presentations
- Utilize 3D and 2D software, hand-drawn sketches, renders, and diagrams
- Prepare drawings for all design/pre-construction phases, including: 1) Preparation and Brief, 2) Concept/Schematic, 3) Developed Design/Spatial coordination, 4) Technical/Tender, and 5) Construction packs
- Create and produce detailed joinery drawings
- Select and create FF&E schedules, material & finishes schedules
- Liaise and coordinate with internal colleagues/departments
- Travel to sites across the UK & Europe and carry out reports
- Collaborate with in-house design team members and follow instructions from senior team members, supporting other projects and weekly design team tasks
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years' experience in hospitality interior design, motivated to achieve high-quality design and documentation for multiple projects
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design
- Team player, supporting others alongside own project work
- Creative problem-solver, organized, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Microsoft Excel
- Strong technical drawing skills and understanding of joinery detailing
- Experience across all RIBA stages and design phases, with knowledge of required information at each stage
- Previous success leading hospitality projects from concept to completion, including on-site experience
- Knowledge of Irish, UK, and EU building regulations and standards
- Ability to work within budgets and deadlines
- Strong concept generation, visualization, and space planning skills
- Experience with FF&E selection and scheduling
- Strong spatial awareness and space planning skills
- Good relationships with global suppliers for FF&E
- Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus
