Interim Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical accounting function, ensuring the proper application of U.S. GAAP for complex accounting transactions, including stock-based compensation, earnings per share calculations, derivatives, investments, pensions, contingent consideration, and other technical areas.
• Oversee accounting for business combinations, asset acquisitions, leases, and variable interest entities, ensuring appropriate recognition, measurement, and disclosure.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and prepare or review position papers for complex transactions, including the adoption of new accounting standards.
• Direct and oversee SOX compliance efforts related to technical accounting processes and controls.
• Monitor and assess emerging accounting standards and regulatory developments, advising on their potential impact and implementation.
• Lead process improvements related to financial reporting and technical accounting functions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 12+ years of relevant experience, including managerial experience in a Big Four public accounting firm.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting concepts.
