Intellectual Property Associate Attorney 09/21/2024 Compensation: 165000.00 / Annually
Our client, a prestigious law firm, has an immediate need for an experienced Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join their winning team in Boston.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in biological sciences and hold an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred; a Master's degree with substantial industry experience will be considered) along with a passion for intellectual property law.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications in the field of biological sciences.
- Conduct IP due diligence and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses.
- Assist in litigation support and post-grant proceedings as necessary.
- Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional service and innovative IP strategies.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced degree in Biological Sciences (Ph.D. preferred; Master's with significant industry experience acceptable).
- Experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
- Familiarity with IP due diligence and FTO analyses.
- Some litigation and/or post-grant experience is beneficial.
- Registration with the USPTO is preferred.
- Prior experience in a law firm setting is a plus.
- Excellent academic record, superior organizational and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service and a creative, entrepreneurial perspective on IP.
