About our opportunity

Culture and Heritage Museum is excited to hire a full-time Integrated Marketing Coordinator to join their team at Museum of York County. The purpose of this position is to develop and execute communication strategies for all Culture & Heritage Museums' sites, working across a variety of platforms including printed materials, digital initiatives, and Development of all marketing assets.

Our ideal candidate is a strong writer with experience in internal and external communications, media relations, and grant writing, who has a passion for telling compelling stories and executing facets of marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and support of strategic goals. They have a strong work ethic with excellent organizational skills and are able to keep up in a fast paced environment, across multiple sites and target audiences. They handle multiple projects on deadlines with professional demeanor and support the public face of the museum family. They possess strong public speaking skills and are able to analyze data to support the Marketing Department's communications. Experience with videography and photography is a plus. Some weekend and evening availability required.
Projected Hiring Range: $17.45 - $20.94 per hour. Salary is based on qualifications.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am -5:00 pm; hours may vary based on operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists with creating and scheduling content with a knowledge of Google Business Profiles and social media including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube. Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinates graphic design and distribution of marketing materials for five sites, including but not limited to brochures, posters, postcards, print ads, signage, and banners. Manages maintenance and upkeep of Culture & Heritage Museums' website content. Executes communication strategies online through social media, e-newsletters, and specialized e-blasts.
  • Coordinates with community organizations to cross-promote and represents CHM
  • Coordinates placement of print, online, and radio advertising. Negotiates advertising prices. Processes purchase orders and check requests related to marketing expenses. Assists in preparing marketing grant materials and other administrative support to the CHM.
  • Captures and shoots photography and videography for in-house produced media including virtual programs, advertisements, events and promotions. Films, produces, edits, airs, and manages virtual programs and content.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports metrics and analytics while maintaining awareness of social media trends and how to utilize them in promotions across platforms and sites.
  • Participates in media appearances including radio, TV and social media as needed.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
About you

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related discipline.
  • Two (2) years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Certifications and Licenses:Valid driver's license preferred.

Longevity Allowance
Full-time regular county employees, elected officials, appointed officials, and judges with ten or more years of full time continuous governmental service are eligible to receive a monthly longevity allowance in addition to their regular compensation. Continuous service transferred from employment with another county, municipality, state or a political entity created by the State may contribute toward eligibility for the longevity allowance. Longevity allowances are paid according to the following schedule.

Annual Leave
Probationary and regular full-time county employees that work at least twenty (20) hours per week accrue annual leave with pay. Employees in their new hire six (6) month probationary period shall not be able to use annual leave until they become regular county employees.
