DESCRIPTION Position: IBS Senior System Engineer Location: Fairfax, VA Clearance: TS/SCI with CI poly The Mission Essential Group, LLC (MEG) is a premier service provider of technical solutions and services for complex, mission-critical needs. IBS is the worldwide Department of Defense (DoD) joint program for transporting intelligence, surveillance & reconnaissance (ISR) and targeting data to all levels of tactical and strategic operational users. IBS provides global, 24/7, dissemination of time sensitive Indications & Warning and Force Protection data to Joint Warfighters and Collaborating Nation partners conducting military operations around the world. MEG serves a vital role in supporting the IBS Enterprise, providing continuity in skills crucial to support military operations. MEG integrates the talents and skills of team members to form an IBS Enterprise Support Services Team to provide world class IBS customer support. The Senior System Engineer will apply systems engineering methodology, tools, and techniques to support the design, development, and test of MEG systems. The Engineer will provide systems engineering support for development of solutions and tests to include Requirements Development, Reliability, Security, and Development and Operational Test. The emphasis will be on Engineering Leadership and requirements management. Other responsibilities and expectations include the following:

• Providing technical input to monthly products to support the end user community.
• Develop reports and associated documentation required for contract deliverables.
• Develop, document, and decompose system and sub-system level requirements.
• Perform risk analysis for hardware and ancillary support equipment along with appropriate testing requirements.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to ensure appropriate Engineering practices are applied.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and develop solutions.
• Prepare network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals.
• Train the team on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications:
• Security Clearance: MUST have a minimum of TS clearance with SCI eligibility and CI Polygraph.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• 8-10 years of technical and operational Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) experience.
• 8-10 years of intelligence and operations experience within the National producer community.
• Five (5) years supporting data dissemination architectures, i.e., over-the-air and Network communications.
• Five (5) years supporting message processing capabilities of Tactical Data Processors (TDP) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers ISR (C4ISR) Automated Information Systems (AIS).
• 12-15 years of experience intelligence and operations experience within the National producer community.
• Eight (8) years supporting data dissemination architectures.
• Eight (8) years supporting message processing capabilities of TDP and C4ISR AIS.
• Prior experience with engineering software (Enterprise Architect (EA); DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or other).
• Experience in training and presentation of information.
• Experience with Joint Service intelligence systems and mission support. Desired Qualifications:
• Master's Degree w/10-12 years of experience in engineering / related science.
• Background in systems engineering or system architecture with direct involvement in supporting IBS capabilities and infrastructure.
• Understanding of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles and toolsets.
• Experience developing and maintaining systems engineering artifacts, including architecture diagrams, Interface Control Diagram (ICD), and related technical documentation.
• Prior software / computer engineering experience.
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent briefing and communication skills.
• Experience with DoD's Systems Engineering requirements and approach.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or equivalent software.
